Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information The Algo Trader collects, why, and what you can do about it. The Algo Trader is operated by Patel Alay, trading as The Algo Trader ("we", "us").
1. What we collect
- Information you send us. When you message us on WhatsApp, email us, or use the enquiry form on this website, we receive the details you choose to share: usually your name, phone or WhatsApp number, email address, trading experience level, preferred batch and the product you are asking about.
- The enquiry form. When you submit the form, your details are saved in our enquiry system (hosted on Cloudflare), copied to a private Google Sheet that only we can open, and sent to us as a Telegram notification so we can reply. The form then opens WhatsApp with your details filled in; nothing is sent on WhatsApp until you press Send. The WhatsApp buttons on the site only open WhatsApp and do not send anything to us by themselves.
- Enrolment and payment records. If you buy a course, mentorship or software licence, we keep a record of the purchase, the payment reference and the access we gave you. We do not collect or store card numbers, UPI PINs or bank passwords.
- Technical information. Our website is hosted on Cloudflare, which may process your IP address and basic request logs to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies on this website.
We never ask for your broker login, trading-account password, investor password or OTP. If anyone asks for these in our name, it is not us.
2. Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and help you choose a programme or product.
- To enrol you, schedule sessions, give you access to course material, indicators or software, and provide support.
- To keep accounting, tax and legal records.
- To send you updates about your enrolment. We will only send promotional messages if you have agreed to receive them, and you can opt out at any time.
3. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with services we use to run the business, and only as needed: WhatsApp (Meta), Google (Gmail and Google Sheets), Telegram (for our internal enquiry notifications), Cloudflare (website hosting and enquiry database), video-meeting platforms used for sessions, and payment providers. We may also disclose information when required by law or by a government authority.
4. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for up to 12 months if you do not enrol. We keep enrolment and payment records for as long as Indian tax and accounting laws require. After that we delete or anonymise them.
5. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it for messages you did not ask for, subject to records we must keep by law. You can also withdraw consent you have given. Write to the grievance officer below. We aim to acknowledge requests within 7 days and resolve them within 30 days.
6. Security
We limit access to your information to the people who need it to serve you and use reputable service providers. No method of storing or sending data is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Age
Our programmes and products are meant for adults aged 18 or above. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
8. Changes
If we add new tools or change how we use information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
